White Steam/Water Stains on Real Wood Table GONE!

I saw this on pinterest and figured I was out NOTHING to try, and oh my word it WORKS!  I held the blow dryer over the stain for about 10-15 minutes and it disappeared!

I'm confident I can get ALL the stains out, I just need to be more patient as the larger ones take more than 15 minutes to disappear.  It's also a big different looking at a picture since the light glares a bit and makes it look like more of a white spot than it actually is. 

Boy Sports Bedroom

Painted a basketball court on Drew's bedroom wall.  Used blue painters tape to tape off the burgandy lane and the backboard and other straight lines and then free-handed the arc.  We found the basketball hoop online. 

We painted this large baseball on the wall. 

Hot Dog Octopuss

Cut hog dogs into chunks, press several raw spaghetti noodles into the hot dog.  Boil.  I usually just toss these into the macaroni when making mac n cheese.  I only buy angel hair pasta but I bet it would work a bit better with spaghetti noodles instead.

Dr. Seuss Treats

In honor of Dr. Seuss day, Drew brought these cat-in-the-hat treats to preschool.  We partially made them at home and Drew and his class assembled them at school.  Super easy - just dip part of a large marshmallow in water and roll in red sugar.  Note:  I used a bottle and a half of sugar and made 17 pops, 2 marshmallows in each pop (with sugar on them).  The brim of the hat - the bottom marshmallow - is just flattened somewhat.

Laundry Room Socks

I think these socks look cute hanging on the wall of the laundry room, but it's kinda just bleh.  I need a saying on top of it or something to add to this.  Ideas welcome!!!!

Valentines Box

Drew and I made this Valentines box for preschool this year.  It's made from a saltine cracker box covered in white paper - we used an end roll we got from the newspaper - they sell the end of their huge rolls of paper for a few bucks - great for kids, packing.  We used a little scrapbooking brad for the flag to flip up and down.  The flag is made from a cereal box and covered in red duct tape.  Decorated in entirely blue, white and red like the Kansas Jayhawk (total 5 year old boy thing!) and we had a winner!   I will say that this is a bit small.  His class of 16's valentines barely all fit in here and it was sitting vertical on the table when I picked him up from school.  So, if we make this again, we'll use a larger box.

Kids Art Wall

This has been so handy - it's right next to the counter where all the art lands and it keeps it off the fridge! Plus the kids can clip up their own pictures on the bottom row. I let Drew use a pencil to write his name and Tanna's on the wall - I made big boxes with blue painters tape so he would know where to put both names. Then I traced what he wrote with brown crafters paint. Special shout out to Brady for drilling pilot holes and sanding the sides of the boards.  I'm not skilled with a drill.  I love the result!!!!

I'm a not-quite-full-time working mom of 2 who likes to create fun things with the kids.  A lot of inspiration comes from pinterest and Family Fun magazine.  I'm not that creative really, but I do like to find a proejct idea and make it my own.  I wanted a spot to showcase the projects we've tried and liked and figured it would be good to share with others in case you're needing some inspiration, too!
